msm Scotland - Aberdeen

Saturday, 5 May, 2012

You are invited to share a learning journey in a supportive community to be equipped for a lifetime of good practice and learning in growing fresh expressions of church.

Your local course

The Church of Scotland and Scottish Episcopal Church are delighted to make msm available locally. We believe it will be a significant resource for building the Kingdom of God in this area.

Individuals are most welcome, but we particularly hope that small groups from a church or fresh expression will come as this will deepen the impact of the course.

The course leaders are Gerry Bowyer and Phil Lightbody. Course teachers include John Drane, Olive Fleming Drane, Andrew Roberts, Graham Cray and Ian Adams.

Recommendations

This opportunity for both personal and congregational renewal comes not just at the right time, it takes us to the core of faith. We can't think of church without mission, its the oxygen which helps to maintain our life in Jesus Christ, reminding us who we are and what we are here for. This course taps into that rich vein of thought and will inspire individuals and congregations alike to define anew their priorities.

Revd David Arnott, Church of Scotland Moderator Designate (2011/12)

A fast-changing world demands that the unchanging truths of the gospel should be communicated with freshness and vitality. I am happy to commend this programme which seeks to equip the church for the task of mission in today's world.

+David, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church
