You are invited to share a learning journey in a supportive community to be equipped for a lifetime of good practice and learning in growing fresh expressions of church.

Your local course

The Birmingham Diocese of the Church of England and Birmingham Methodist District are delighted to make msm available locally. We believe it will be a significant resource for building the Kingdom of God in this area.

Individuals are most welcome, but we particularly hope that small groups from a church or fresh expression will come as this will deepen the impact of the course.

The course leaders are Jonathan Dowman and Michele Simms. Teachers include Graham Cray, Dave Male, Joanne Cox, Jeff Reynolds, George Fisher, Tony Hardy, Rachel Jordan, Andrew Roberts & Pall Singh.

Saturdays run from 10.00 to 16.00, Wednesdays from 19.30 to 21.30, both in the Basement Room, The Walkabout Inn, Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2DS.

The residential weekend will be at Launde Abbey, East Norton, Leicestershire, LE7 9XB.

Cost

£230 per person (£215 each for 2, £200 each for 3, £185 each for 4), which covers all materials, refreshments and weekend away. Financial support may be available.

Recommendations

Mission-shaped ministry should be the goal of the whole church and so this course, growing out of the Church's journey in mission and ministry through fresh expressions of the church is a real opportunity to develop thinking and patterns of working. It could be just the moment of refreshment a minister, lay or ordained, needs. I hope we will be inundated with applications from our Methodist family.
