msm York

Saturday, 18 September, 2010

You are invited to share a learning journey in a supportive community to be equipped for a lifetime of good practice and learning in growing fresh expressions of church.

Your local course

The Church of England, Methodist Church and Church Army in York are delighted to make msm available locally. We believe it will be a significant resource for building the Kingdom of God in this area.

Individuals are most welcome, but we particularly hope that small groups from a church will come as this may well deepen the impact of the course.

The course leaders are Pam Macnaughton and Sam Foster and teachers include Gavin Wakefield, Pam Macnaughton, Sam Foster, Sue Wallace, Richard Cooke, Peter Hallsworth, the Bishop of Selby, Christian Selvaratnam, Pete Atkins and Andrew Roberts.

Recommendations

For 2000 years every generation has found that God re-shapes his church to speak to its current context. This course is about helping us to be alive to God and to those around us. I commend it with real enthusiasm.

Rt Revd Martin Wallace, Bishop of Selby

I am excited by the growth of Fresh Expressions within the life of God's Church. It needs inspired and skilled leadership to steer these in the uncharted waters ahead - the msm course will be crucial in empowering such leaders. I wish it well and will pray for it.

Revd Stephen Burgess, York and Hull Methodist District Chair
